Comunus

A responsible collective investment vehicle

Comunus SICAV is a Swiss real estate investment fund authorised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).
It is a self-managed SICAV with its own expertise in both Fund management and Administration. This uniqueness sets it apart from other real estate investment funds.

Comunus was launched in 2013 by entrepreneurs and real estate professionals with a solid regional network in the Lake Geneva region.
It provides a responsible collective investment vehicle to Swiss qualified investors, in the residential sector. Comunus SCAV mainly invests in properties located in French-speaking Switzerland.

Comunus was set-up as a self-managed investment company with variable capital, known as a SICAV.
The SICAV ensures all activities related to the management of the real estate portfolio, as well as the Fund Administration, which includes, among other taks, Fund Accounting, Net Asset Value calculation, new units issuance and Risk and Finance.

Governance

As a self-managed SICAV, the relationship between the Board of Directors and the Management is privileged.

The limited number of stakeholders enhances proactivity, enabling direct and effective communication among various entities. Consequently, the company gains significant agility in its strategic decision-making process and is able to seize markets opportunities.

This balanced and transparent partnership between the Board and the Management empowers Comunus to act in the best interest of its unitholders and its stakeholders, thus, ensuring the enduring value of the Fund value in the long term.

The Management is in charge of the Fund management activities and the Administration services.

The Board of Directors oversees the strategy, investments decisions and ensures the compliance with regulations.
It also makes sure that risks are carefully monitored, and that the reputation of the company is maintained at a high standard. The expertise of its members ranges from finance to Real estate investment and compliance.

The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors brings together a full range of skills required for its role within the SICAV.
